Church of the Immaculate Conception

The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Serradifalco, built around 1750 at the request of Don Ignazio Maria Lo Faso, represents a significant example of 18th-century religious architecture in central Sicily.

Chiesa dell'Immacolata Concezione

Its construction took place on the site previously occupied by the ancient Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, also known as Our Lady of St. Mary of Grace. The façade of the church, simple yet harmonious, is characterized by stuccoes that adorn the portal and the window above, giving elegance to the building.

Inside, the church houses important works of art, including four paintings by the Palermo painter Vito D’Anna: Saint Jude Thaddeus, The Immaculate Conception, Saint Ignatius of Loyola and Saint Francis Xavier, and Saint Aloysius Gonzaga and Saint Stanislaus Kostka with the Madonna and Child. These works testify to the importance of the church as a center of devotion and culture.

In 1953, the church was elevated to parish status, marking a significant moment in the religious life of the community. Today, the Church of the Immaculate Conception continues to be an active place of worship and a point of reference for the faithful.
