The project

The GEMME DI SICILIA project is promoted and funded within the framework of the provision of services and supplies for the integrated tourism development system “The Routes of Castles, Sulphur, and Potassium Salts.”

GEMME DI SICILIA is an integrated territorial marketing project aimed at creating a new tourist destination based on the cultural attractions of the Nisseno area. The project seeks to enhance new and original tourist itineraries, promoting the most representative attractions of the territory with the goal of developing a unique tourism product, supported by a wide range of services.

The project strategy includes the integration of the Territorial Marketing Plan, the Communication Plan, and the territorial database for the informational side, as well as integrated front-ends such as apps, websites, and physical communication tools for the promotional and dissemination side.

The project also foresees the creation of a unique territorial brand, tourist packages, and the provision of LED walls, gazebos, and multilingual tourist signage to support the promotion of the involved territories. It also includes positioning the new tourist destination on social media and the web.

Specifically, the area corresponds to the territories of the partner municipalities:

  • Municipality of San Cataldo (lead partner);
  • Municipality of Caltanissetta;
  • Municipality of Delia;
  • Municipality of Serradifalco.
