At the next roundabout, take Via Vitaliano Brancati, continue along Via Giovanni Battista De Cosmi, and at the end of the road turn right onto Via Michele Amari. Go straight on through Via Filippo Paladini and Via Santo Spirito until you reach the Abbey and the Regional Archaeological Museum (temporarily closed). At the roundabout, keep right onto Via Xiboli; further along, on the right, you can admire the door of the Chapel of the Madonna del Soccorso and, staying on the left side of the street, the former Church of Santa Maria della Stella (now a fitness center). Continuing on, at the roundabout you’ll find the Church of Santa Croce; turn right onto Via Re d’Italia. Turn right onto Via Ospizio di Beneficenza and then right again into Largo Paolo Barile to visit both the Pro Loco and Palazzo Moncada, home to the Civic Art Gallery. The final stop is the “Michele Abbate” Multi-purpose Cultural Center. To get there, skirt the center following the one-way system that takes you onto Corso Umberto I (on whose right, via the steps of Via Rampello, you can see the Stolpersteine), pass by the Church of Santa Lucia, and turn right onto Via Maddalena Calafato. At the end of the road, turn right onto Viale Conte Testasecca, then right onto Viale Regina Elena. Turn right onto Via Canonico Pulci and left onto Via Bloy. At the roundabout, take the penultimate exit onto Via Ernesto Vassallo; at the end of the road you’ll be at your destination.

For this multi-stop itinerary of Caltanissetta’s main museums, you must book well in advance. We therefore recommend consulting a local guide to assist with reservations.
