Fountain “I Cannoli”

1 Minute of reading

The “I Cannoli” fountain stands in the square of the same name. It dates back to the 17th century and was commissioned by the Galletti family to supply water to that area of the town.

It was part of a complex aqueduct system that collected water from Mount Tabor, which once stood where the civic tower is located today. Only fragments of the ancient Baroque fountain remain. On the corner of one of the buildings overlooking the square, there is a niche that houses a statuette of the Immaculate.
